The above photo was taken at a ‘lookout point’ on top of Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park
THE CLIMB
I gazed across
spacious peaks
To their summits’
Broad incline
Climbing with my eyes
Up towering heights
To heaven’s
Clouded skies
Then descending
Down I came
To stand upon
The tundra’s blowing plains
Of mountain meadows’
Lush, green carpet
After recent rains.
Where to behold such majesty
can one find this, and wonder
if there be any other
greater than all I see.
